Amazing view of Manukan island from above – this is amazing view of Manukan island from bird’s eye view. So beautiful. What you see here is the entrance jetty to Manukan island. This island is most visited island by tourist who come to Kota Kinabalu for vacation. Snorkeling is the most popular activity around this island. This photo was taken on 26-27 January 2019 at the time when Kota Kinabalu receives slight rain for several days. Only rain. No strong wind. No big waves. No thunderstorm. Short Intro About PADI Advanced Open Water Course – PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course is for who?

It is for certified diver who has scuba diving license. It is also for any scuba diver how has valid dive license from well known governing body in scuba diving industry such as PADI, NAUI, SSI or SDI.

Normally PADI Advanced Open Water Course in Kota Kinabalu takes 2 days to complete. You will do 6 dives. 1st dive is a refresher dive.

All 5 dives after that are called as “Adventure Dives”. You have to complete all 5 dives to get certified and to become PADI Advanced Open Water Diver.

No exam and no theory classroom. You will learn in practical hands-on style. Advanced Open Water certification enables you to dive up to 30 meters in any area on the planet.

3 New PADI Open Water Course On 28 December

Scuba diving Kota Kinabalu 3 New PADI Open Water Course On 28 December – Today we are joined by 3 new PADI Open Water Diver Course participants.

All of them are from China and will be here for Kota Kinabalu scuba diving in Kota Kinabalu marine park which is only 15 minutes from city center. They will learn scuba diving in selected dive sites in open sea within marine park area.

Why most Chinese tourists love to spend their holiday time in Kota Kinabalu? It is because short travel time via airplane from mainland China to the city center of Kota Kinabalu.

Several airline companies such as Malindo Air already provide daily flight route from Beijing, Changsha and Chengdu to Kota Kinabalu everyday.

Kota Kinabalu-Shanghai route is serviced by three airline companies, they are Spring Airlines, Eastern Airlines and Malaysia Airlines (two).

After finishing their PADI Open Water Course in Kota Kinabalu, these tourists will go back to China.

Some of them choose to go for holiday in other areas in Sabah such as Semporna after completing their scuba diving course.

Scuba diving in Kota Kinabalu – Where We Dive. In this short post we will talk about the place where we go out scuba diving in Kota Kinabalu everyday. The place called as Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park (TARP for short).

Many called it as Kota Kinabalu marine park. Some people write it in their social media posts as Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park Kota Kinabalu.

This marine park consists of 5 islands. The islands’ name are Gaya island, Sapi island, Mamutik island, Manukan island and Sulug island.

The biggest island is Gaya island. It is the only island in Kota Kinabalu marine park that located next to the city center. Gaya island is the most populated island compared to other islands.

Sapi island is the island next to Gaya island. Sapi is the third largest island in Kota Kinabalu marine park.

The 2nd biggest island is Manukan island. Manukan island is oval shaped island facing Mamutik island and sulug island.

For scuba diving lessons and scuba diving courses such as Discover Scuba Diving or PADI Open Water Course in Kota Kinabalu, our team usually starts students’ basic lessons in Sapi island.

After that they will move to another dive site in another island such as behind Gaya island.

8 New PADI Open Water Course Students On 27 December

Scuba diving in Kota Kinabalu Malaysia – Today on 27 December 2018 we receive 8 new PADI Open Water Diver Course students from China.

They will be learning scuba diving basic skills with Go Aquatic dive team in selected dive sites in Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park (official name for Kota Kinabalu marine park) which is only 15 minutes boat ride from the jetty.

They start their PADI Open Water Course in Kota Kinabalu with registration session in Go Aquatic dive center in Wisma Sabah. After completing their registration, Go Aquatic team member will bring them to Jesselton Point jetty to get ready for depart to dive sites in Kota Kinabalu marine park.
